Zwoegen, schuren, schurken en schaven

Door het proces van bouwen construeer en verbind ik dingen op zoek naar nieuwe betekenissen. Maar na een tijdje ontmantel ik vervolgens alles weer. Wat dan overblijft van mijn installaties zijn de beelden en de herinneringen: het immateriële overblijfsel. Sommige objecten blijven bestaan. Andere ontmantelde stukken zie je terug in volgende sculpturen en installaties.

Bouwen en afbreken en opnieuw bouwen.

Je voelt het geploeter, gewrik en gepruts van de mens. Het zoeken naar een oplossing maar ook het falen.

Plodding, sanding and polishing

Through the process of building, I construct, lock  things together, intertwine. I construct a new life, but then dismantle everything. The only things that stays of my installations are the images and the memories: the immaterial vestige.  Some objects live on. Other dismanteled pieces will be used in a next sculpture or  installation. Building and breaking down and building again.

You will see the plodding, wrenching and messing about of people. Keeping on trying, looking for solutions but also the failure.
